The Association of Secretaries General of Parliaments (ASGP) met in Geneva, Switzerland. Its members discussed a range of subjects, including the involvement of parliamentarians in international assemblies, the management of parliamentary buildings and the emergence of parliamentary diplomacy. The World e-Parliament Conference is the biennial forum of the community of parliaments addressing, from both policy and technical perspectives, how the use of information and communication technology can help improve representation, transparency, accountability, openness, and effectiveness in the complex parliamentary environment.
