Dr Silke Albin is Deputy Secretary-General for International Affairs and Director-General for Research and External Relations at the German Bundestag.Before joining the Bundestag, from 2014, she was State Secretary at the Ministry for Migration, Justice and Consumer Protection in Thuringia and, from 2017, Vice-President of the Federal Office for the Safety of Nuclear Waste Management. Previously to that, she worked from 2002 onwards for the Federal Ministry of Economics and the Federal Ministry of Finance.Silke Albin studied law in Regensburg, Geneva, Munich and Berlin and wrote her doctoral thesis on a European-law topic.
