Mr George Ionuț Dumitrică has an experience of almost fourteen years in parliamentary affairs.His activity in the national legislature started in 2008, when he was elected deputy for a four-year term. At the end of this mandate, in 2012, he joined the management of the parliamentary administration, as Deputy Secretary General of the Chamber of Deputies, until 2021, when the Plenary appointed him as the head of the administration.As Deputy Secretary General, Mr. Dumitrică coordinated the logistics of the second largest administrative building of the world, with a surface of 365.000 sqm. IT and security infrastructures, investments and modernization, maintenance and development of the existing systems, were all under his responsibility. Along with the challenging administration of the Palace of Parliament, Mr. Dumitrică aimed to increase the use of digital technology and to promote more environment friendly solutions. In this vein, he started a project co-financed by the European Social Fund, in order to provide high-quality services.One of the biggest projects, in this respect, is the coordination of the majority of over 1,750 meetings and events in the framework of the Romanian Presidency of the Council of the European Union, held in the premises of the Parliament. Mr. Dumitrică believes in the modernization of the parliamentary institution and in creative ways of dialogue. A representative project to this end is the coordination of the Football Team of the Chamber of Deputies, which had important results such as being the champion in 2018 and the vice-champion in four other editions of the Interparliamentary Football Tournament.
